With the heat of the summer months approaching, I'm sure we are all dreading the excess oil that our faces will produce. Well, I have a free way to keep the oil under control and you don't have to buy blotting papers (although I love blotting papers - but free is so much better!). The next time you are in Starbucks grab some extra napkins and keep them in your purse or makeup bag. That's right ladies, the recycled paper of a Starbucks napkin can blot the oil from your face just like those fun blue blotting papers. I love using blotting papers or Starbucks napkins because you don't have to reapply makeup, you just blot and the oil/shininess is gone!

I know there are A LOT of pregnant women out there right now, it’s crazy how many I know. So I feel it’s important to let everyone know that your insurance will cover the cost of your breast pump. We are talking saving you $150 or more. This is huge y’all. Of course each insurance company is different and some will only cover the cost to rent, not purchase, so you must call your insurance to find out. But thanks to the Affordable Care Act a lot of necessary screenings and items for Women’s Health and Well-Being are covered. Check out this page from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to read more about all of the coverage that is available to you. Trust me, there is more than just breast pumps and lactation consulting that is covered.  Well-woman visits and other screenings are also covered, whether you are pregnant or not. So get educated! You could save you and your family some serious cash while you are taking care of yourself. I was so happy to learn about the breast pump coverage and since then I’ve encountered multiple moms who dropped some serious cash on a breast pump because they didn’t know! So all women, be sure to click the link to learn about your coverage options.
