Seattle in Pictures

Tolar and I had a wonderful long weekend in Seattle. One thing is for sure: when we travel we wear ourselves out. While we both love to relax and really should do more of that, when we are on vacation there is too much to see and do to just lay around in our hotel.

We decided not to rent a car and walked ALL over the city. My calves are definitely enjoying the break right now. We saw so much; of course the usual suspects like Pike’s Place Market, the Space Needle and the view of the city from Kerry Park (gorgeous!), but we also decided to take a ferry over to Bainbridge Island. I've never taken a ferry before and I loved it! (I totally felt like I was in a Kristin Hannah novel)

Tolar even let me do some shopping (hey – we got some stuff for him too!), get a manicure and pick a movie (Pitch Perfect – the movie was HILARIOUS!!! If you like Glee, you will love it.). We ate like champs and had some super yummy food at every meal. My favorite meal was when we ate in the Space Needle restaurant. The restaurant rotates so everyone can see the entire city as they eat. We had a three course brunch that was to die for! Everything I put in my mouth was excellent.

All in all, it was a good trip and such a treat to get to spend so much one on one time with Tolar before he had to fly to Alaska for work for a couple weeks. So enjoy the pictures below from our trip. If you have any questions about anything we did, just ask in the comments section below.

(Aren't these flowers gorgeous? They were all over the market for only $5 or $10! What a steal!)

(This might not look like much, but it was THE BEST clam chowder ever.)

(It was quite windy on the ferry.)
