More Scarves Than One Person Should Have

Monday, October 29, 2012

So you probably already know from this post that I love scarves. It is kind of ridiculous just how many I have in my closet, but I really don’t care. Adding a scarf to an outfit makes me happy and that’s part of the reason I started this blog…to talk about happy things and personal style.

My sweet friend Rebekah asked me to show different ways to wear scarves and I accepted her suggestion. Below are some of my favorite ways that I wear my scarves; these are by no means all the ways to wear scarves. If you check out Pinterest, you can probably find plenty more ways to wear them. But these are my favorites. (Enjoy my headless fashion show)

1.) With a thin, silk scarf I just like to leave it long
Scarf: Macy's (old)

2.) Tie a simple knot
Scarf: gift

3.) An infinity scarf wrapped around twice
Scarf: Frock Candy

4.) The basic loop and thru (I wear a lot of my scarves like this in the winter more for functionality and warmth than fashion)
Scarf: Gap

5.)  Wrap the scarf around your neck and let the ends hang loose. I prefer to have the ends a little uneven (watch out – I’m getting kinda crazy over here!)
Scarf: DSW

Do you have a different way that you wear a scarf? Tweet me a pic @lindsaytolar.

  1. you can NEVER have to many scarves.

I am an avid scarf collector as well.
    it's the perfect accessory!

  2. I have way too many scarves....I used shower curtain rings to organize them. It is more of an obsession at this point. Love this post!

  3. Nice "headless" fashion show! LOL. You have a cute collection of scarves. I figure them to be an accessory which if course you can't have too many of!

    1. I agree, these 5 only touch the surface of the amount of scarves I have in my closet. :) AH!

  4. Hi. I found your blog via Find and Follow Friday. Love all these scarf options! Want to follow each other?

  5. Don't get me started on my scarf obsession!! I wear mine all like yours, but I need to try some new ones. I pinned a 40 ways to tie a scarf. Now to just use it!

Thanks for stopping by! I love hearing from you.
