Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Mother's Day is upon us and I am here to help anyone who still has no clue what to buy for their Mom (or their wife). All of my ideas cost little to no money and are simply ways that you can pamper your Mom and show her that you care. I, of course, am offering up ideas from my personal experience - so mothers with small children. But I'm sure a lot of these hold true for all mothers, no matter what age their children are.

1.) Look no further than this amazing gift - let your Mom take a nap. Dads take the kids to the park or somewhere far enough away so Mom can have some peace and quiet and just let her sleep. In my book, a nap is better than gold!

2.) Serve her breakfast in bed; its lots of fun if the kids help in the cooking process.

3.) Buy her a pedicure and make sure she actually uses the gift certificate.

4.) Snuggle time with the kiddos! This one may be difficult if you have a squirmy toddler who doesn't like to cuddle, but if you have children who are older and understand the importance of quality snuggle time, then have at it.

5.) Let her watch her favorite shows on Netflix and DON'T make fun of her for them.

6.) Dads, take on diaper duty for the day.

7.) When she asks you to do something, don't respond with "Do I have to now?" Do it with a smile, at least for Mother's Day. :)

8.) Shower your Mom with hugs and kisses and lots of smiles.

9.) Tell her one thing that she does that you absolutely love about her.

10.) Pray for her.
