Nickel & Suede Leather Earrings
It is no secret, I'm an accessories girl. I love earrings, necklaces, bracelets, all of it. And if it is a statement piece, there is a 99.9% chance that I will love it. Statement pieces are often heavy, which is fine if I'm wearing it around my neck, but not on my ears. Enter the incredible lightweight leather earrings from Nickel & Suede. These leather earrings are so lightweight that you cannot even feel them when you wear them. So ladies with sensitive ears, you don't have to worry a bit (and they are nickel free to boot!).
The thing I love most about Nickel & Suede is that they have tons of options. TONS. You can pick virtually any color you want and there are plenty of styles. I'm wearing Nickel & Suede's earring of the month, Gypsy Teal (get them on sale through tomorrow!). The style of the Gypsy Teal earring is their basic style, but you can also find woven, cut-out, suede, shimmer and more.

Wore: Slouchy Beret
Tolar informed me that this outfit makes me look like a lumberjack. Of course, I responded with "No way, check out my bling," putting him in his place!
I love taking something casual or plain and pairing it with some "fancy" items. This buffalo check button up shirt might look like something that a lumberjack would wear, but throw on a gorgeous necklace from Stella & Dot and a slouchy beret from Scala Pronto and you transform into an instant trendsetter.*
This slouchy beret is everything I have looked for in a Fall/Winter hat and never found until now. I love the neutral oatmeal color coupled with the pop of silver bling woven through - the color allows this hat to be worn with just about anything. The knit is soft and extremely comfortable; no scratching my head and wishing I could just take it off. And it is the perfect thickness, not too thick and not too thin. So you can rest assured that your head will be kept warm during the cold months, but you won't be sweating underneath (and ruining your hairstyle). Because the beret is the perfect thickness, it is great to wear indoors as a fashion accessory or outside for warmth and functionality.
Buffalo Check shirt: Walmart (!!!!)
Slouchy Beret: Scala Pronto (c/o).
Necklace: Stella & Dot.
Earrings: Target.

Rocksbox is my Jam!
Hello, my name is Lindsay and I'm an Accessory Hoarder.
It is like Rocksbox was invented just for me because I ABSOLUTELY love this subscription box and have really enjoyed trying out new pieces of jewelry. If you don't know what Rocksbox is, let me explain:
Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription service that lends you three pieces of jewelry at a time from top designers (like Kendra Scott and House of Harlow) that you wear and borrow as long as you like (hello dressy events coming up!). If you fall completely in love with the jewelry, you can purchase the pieces you want at a discounted price and send back whatever you don't want. And the really cool part is that you can exchange your box as many times in a month as you want! For only $19 a month (no matter how many times you exchange), you can try out tons of cool jewelry and decide if its "you" before committing to a purchase. Rocksbox will also give you a $10 credit each month that you can apply toward the purchase of jewelry if you end up wanting to own the piece.
If this sounds like something you want to check out, your first month can be FREE! Just enter code
This month, I received another great box. I got a pretty killer, crystal statement necklace from Perry Street; some cute, delicate rings from Wanderlust + Co; and an edgy bracelet from Jenny Bird. The one thing I absolutely love about Rocksbox is that I am finding out I have different tastes than I originally thought. I'm a HUGE statement jewelry fan and have never really been a fan of delicate jewelry. Although in my first two boxes from Rocksbox, I have decided to keep the delicate pieces of jewelry that I was sent. Rocksbox has given me options!
In this month's box, I really enjoyed the statement necklace and even wore it with a few dresses. Because of the silver and crystal, the necklace can be paired with virtually everything. I did send the necklace back though, because I already own something similar. I was intrigued to find the edgy Jenny Bird bracelet. I knew before I wore it that it wasn't my style, but it was still fun to mix it up and try something new. Now the rings from Wanderlust + Co...I LOVE THEM. One ring is a regular size and the other is a midi ring. I've seen midi rings around, but never thought I would like them until I got the chance to try. I love the look (although I am scared the midi ring is going to fall off). I have worn the rings almost every day because they are just so pretty and go with everything.
Two features that I absolutely adore about Rocksbox:
1.) They make it INCREDIBLY easy to ship your box back. You just use the same envelope that was sent to you and adhere the return postage sticker and pop it in your mailbox. So easy (shipping back to them is free!).
2.) You can leave feedback for your stylist. If you receive something in your box that you love or hate, tell your stylist and they will take everything into consideration when selecting a future box. I love how versatile this subscription service is!
Remember, if you want to get your first month free, use code lindsaytolarxoxo at checkout!

Soothing Flip Flops
I was sent a complimentary pair of flip flops from Flopz for review purposes, all opinions are completely my own.
I wasn't a believer, until I tried Flopz flip flops. Picture it with me: you just bought a brand new pair of shoes that you were dying to wear, only to have them hurt your feet after two minutes. Now you are mad at yourself; why did you hurt your feet so badly? Well, if you have a pair of Flopz flip flops you can soothe your tired and hurt feet as soon as you slip them on. Flopz keep your feet feeling rejuvenated the entire time you wear them.
These gorgeous and comfortable flip flops are completely luxurious. They have a unique gel layer insole that massages your feet while you walk, and they do not rub. Even though they soothe and take care of you, they aren't bland or ugly. Flopz come in a variety of bright and beautiful colors, making them so fun to wear and match with the clothes in your closet. Flopz have the unique luminescence of tropical fish and coral reefs - the colors are breathtaking. It is hard to stop myself from wanting to buy them all because the colors are so pretty.
Yes, I realize that the calendar says September 21, but the warm days are not behind us just yet. I am all about rocking a fab pair of flip flops with my jeans well into October. If the warm Virginia days are going to stick around, I'm going to welcome them with open arms and my pink Flopz. Allow yourself (and your feet!) a little bit of luxury during these last warm, muggy days of the year. I like to take my Flopz to the nail salon with me, so I can continue the pampering of a pedicure even as I walk out the door!

Borrow Jewelry Before You Buy? Why Yes, Sign Me Up! (Plus Coupon Code!)
How many times have you purchased a piece of jewelry or accessory online only to not be completely happy with it when it arrives? Or spent a little bit more than you wanted for a piece and ended up only wearing the jewelry once or twice leaving you feeling like you wasted money?
Well allow me to introduce you to my latest obsession and something that will fix both of those problems! I'm going to enlighten you with the genius program that is called ROCKSBOX.

Before I go too far, let me tell you that you can try out one month of Rocksbox for FREE just by entering the following code at checkout:
When you first sign up for Rocksbox, you can create a wishlist of items you would like to receive. You are then assigned a stylist who will look through your wishlist and profile to curate a box specifically for you. I was sent a Jill Michael layered chain bracelet, a Kendra Scott delicate necklace and some Perry Street glam earrings. I actually added the Perry Street glam earrings to my wishlist when I first signed up, but I ended up not liking them as much. I honestly thought they would be a bit bigger and more dramatic. They are still pretty, just not what I was looking for.
I loved the Jill Michael layered chain bracelet because I thought it looked just like me and would easily pair with other pieces I already own. I wore it several times, but later decided that I already had a few other pieces that resembled it, so I decided to send the bracelet back.
Finally, I was not really a fan of the delicate Kendra Scott necklace when I first opened my box. I thought it was pretty, but I'm more of a statement necklace girl and wasn't too sure about it. However, after a few days I decided to give it a try and actually ended up LOVING it. This necklace is unlike anything I currently own and I actually liked how I was given the option of experimenting with jewelry before I made a commitment. This delicate necklace could be worn on its own for a dressed down look and it also paired really nicely with other necklaces for a more layered look.
If you are familiar with Rent the Runway and Stichfix, I would say this is a mixture of both of those companies but specifically for jewlery/accessories. My favorite aspect of Rocksbox is that you get to try something out and if you like it you can buy it; if you don't like it send it back! And since you get a month free by using the code lindsaytolarxoxo at checkout, why wouldn't you at least try it? And shipping is included (both ways)! So at least check it out!
Rocksbox is great if you have a big event coming up, because you can borrow some new jewelry and maybe even glam up your look and if you end up not wanting to wear the piece again, just return it!

Caring for Your Jewelry
Accessories and jewelry, my forte.
My jewelry collection over the years has grown rather large and instead of letting everything form a big heap of a mess, I like to keep everything neat and organized. Awhile ago I blogged about how I organize everything in an unconventional, yet pretty way. Today I'd like to share how I keep everything clean and looking its best.
Here are my tips on how to take care of your jewelry.
-Store it. When everything has its place, it is easier for you to find what you need at a glance.
I hang my statement necklaces on a fingertip towel holder, display my statement bracelets on a cake stand and then store my more delicate pieces in a jewelry stacker inside my dresser.
I hang my statement necklaces on a fingertip towel holder, display my statement bracelets on a cake stand and then store my more delicate pieces in a jewelry stacker inside my dresser.
-Keep everything dry. Don't allow liquids to come into contact with your jewelry. By following the storage tip, you can save your jewelry from accidentally getting spilled on. Also, take all of your jewelry off before you shower or swim. Keeping everything dry will keep your jewels sparkling like they are supposed to. And you won't have to worry about losing anything either.
-Clean your jewels. A microfiber cloth works really well on virtually everything. You can wipe away dirt and grime. I bought a two-cloth cleaning system; one cloth cleans and one cloth polishes. I also use liquid jewelry cleaner for my precious pieces. Regularly cleaning your jewelry will keep everything looking new - just don't overdo it. (Tip: don't clean your jewelry in the bathroom because you might accidentally drop something down the sink!)
-Put your jewelry on last. If you are like me and wear makeup, perfume or hairspray (I wear a lot of hairspray) you should always leave your jewelry off until you are finished. Particles from your makeup can make your jewelry dirty and the perfume or hairspray might cause discoloration. Get ready first, then put on your jewelry. For me, its the last thing I do before I leave the house.
-Use a travel bag. Instead of just throwing my jewelry and accessories in plastic bag, I like to use a divided jewelry organizer for my things when I travel. This helps keep my delicate necklaces from getting tangled and also keeps me organized: the earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces are all grouped together so I can easily find them. It makes unpacking a breeze too!

Statement Necklaces with Happiness Boutique
I was given a complimentary necklace for review purposes. All opinions are, as always, my own.
There is no denying it, I am ALL about the accessories. My instagram profile says it all... "accessory hoarder." I love how accessories can help you stretch your wardrobe and really take an outfit from ho hum to HOT! Just by adding a few simple pieces, you can really change up a look.
So please allow me to introduce you to a new boutique that I discovered, Happiness Boutique. I think I just might fall madly in love with this shop because they have some of the most gorgeous statement necklaces ever. In fact, it was really hard for me to make a decision on which piece I wanted because I could see myself wearing just about every single item.
Luckily I did settle on the Ocean Treasures statement necklace and I am so glad I did. The colors in this necklace are incredible. The blue stones shine so brightly and make it hard for me to pick any other necklace that I have in my collection. I find myself constantly wanting to select the Ocean Treasures necklace because it is simply so pretty.
I wore the necklace with a basic black shirt and loved how my outfit was given a little oomph. In fact, I even wore the necklace out for Ladies Night with some friends and I got a ton of compliments. I love how adding this one statement necklace really took my basic outfit to a whole 'nother lever. :) My dressing "fancy" days are over so when I'm given the opportunity to dress up my normal outfits, I will certainly take them.
Something that is really cool about Happiness Boutique is that they offer a customer reward program. Simply by writing reviews for their incredible products and sharing photos on social media, you can earn points to put towards incredible gifts and prizes. I highly recommend you check out both the shop and the reward program. I am sure you will fall in love, just like me. Happiness Boutique has so much more than just statement necklaces, so leave yourself lots of time to search the site, you will thank me later!
And let me leave you with one final thought straight from Happiness Boutique:
"Happiness held is the seed. Happiness shared is the flower."
Go find yourself some flowers friends!

What I Wore: JORD Watch
I received a complimentary watch from JORD for review purposes. All opinions are, as always, strictly my own.
It's been awhile since I've done a What I Wore post and honestly, I've been feeling uninspired by my wardrobe. Probably because I have so many other things on my plate that I just haven't allowed myself the time to go shopping to find pieces I absolutely cannot live without (SHOCKING, I know!). But today I am back because I just had to share this absolutely, incredibly gorgeous watch from JORD.
The JORD wood watches are simply breathtaking and some of the coolest and neatest watches I've ever seen. The watches are all unique and each one is slightly different due to the wood grains, so you can rest assured knowing that you are getting a one of a kind piece. There are lots of different styles available and I loved almost every single one, it was really hard for me to select which one I wanted. The styles are sleek and simple, yet modern, and can match anyone's taste. I particularly love the date feature on the style I have (Ely Series: Natural Green and Maple), so I never have to wonder where in the month we are.
The team over at JORD has quite the eye for detail, even the box that the watch is delivered in is beautiful. I knew I was getting a quality product because of all the additional extras that went into the packing and presentation. Another great quality about the watch is that the wood is completely finished and smooth. You don't have to worry about any rough edges that might snag your clothing. Every single detail was thought of when they designed this watch.
I've always loved watches and used to wear them all the time, but then I got a watch for a gift that was too big and I just never got around to getting it sized so I could wear it (sorry Tolar!). But the absolute coolest thing about the wood watches from JORD are that they have a sizing chart available to help you customize the watch to fit your wrist. All you have to do is print out their sizing ruler, measure your wrist and select your size. When my watch arrived, I could immediately put it on and wear it because it fit perfectly thanks to their sizing capabilities.

Bought Beautifully + Giveaway
If you have been around this blog for any length of time you know that I am a Christian and hold my relationship with Christ very close. I also am a HUGE accessory lover. So you better believe that I was thrilled to be able to combine my love of both.
Allow me to introduce you to an incredible company called Bought Beautifully. This is an online store where you can purchase products from vendors all over the world who are creating products that create opportunity for others. The site was started as a way for us all to use our finances as a way to further God's kingdom - by supporting quality products that are created in an atmosphere of love.
I have to tell you there are way too many items in my house that I purchased because I got a good deal on them or because I just liked them. I don't know the history behind them and I have no clue what kind of conditions the workers deal with as they make everything. But when I stop to think about the type of conditions that could exist, it really makes me sad. So I love that Bought Beautifully was designed to build and support a Christ Centered Economy, where people receive fair wages and work in conditions that enable them to develop their artistic spirit, individuality, and creativity.
There is so much more available than just accessories; Bought Beautifully also offers art, home decor, clothing and beauty products. Here are just a few products that are available on Bought Beautifully that I wanted to share with you.
Peruvian Messenger Bag/Ipad Case from Threads of Hope
The bag is gorgeous! I love the bright colors and attention to detail that went into crafting this item. There is an inside pocket and a back zipper pocket, plus a long strap making this a great purse or ipad case. I catch myself just staring at the bag because the colors are so beautiful. And I love that Threads of Hope has a tagline that says "empowering impoverished women, transforming lives." They offer fair and consistent income to their artisans and use 100% of their profits to break the cycle of poverty through grants available to their artisans.
Single Wrap Majok Bracelet from Haiti's Jewels
Such a simple yet beautiful bracelet with turquoise accents and grey Majok seeds. The products from Haiti's Jewels are made with materials straight from Haiti reflecting the beauty and strength inherent to Haiti. Each purchase of a Haiti's Jewels product goes to further a culture of sustainable, social entrepreneurship.
Rose Embroidered Card from HAPI
What a unique and beautiful card to send to someone special! These cards are embroidered by Haitian women through an organization called HAPI, which seeks to encourage creativity, promote gender equality, create economic opportunity and grow healthy communities. The cards are gorgeous and so unique, unlike anything you could find in the card aisle at your local drug store.
The thing I love most about all of the products featured on Bought Beautifully is that with your purchase you are supporting impoverished artisans. Knowing that your money is going to a good and worthy cause is a beautiful thing. These organizations exist to teach responsibility and to offer opportunity, all while spreading the love of Jesus.
I encourage you to check out Bought Beautifully and all of the available items. There are so many to choose from!
And I have a surprise for you. The founders of Bought Beautifully are offering up all three items detailed above to one lucky Pursuit of Pink reader! All you have to do is enter using the rafflecopter below, which just involves following Bought Beautifully on instagram and facebook and tweeting a link. Each follow or tweet is an additional entry! Let me know if you have questions. These items are so beautiful, I'm already jealous of the winner!!!

Accessories Make The Outfit
I'm an accessory lover through and through. While I fill my closet with tons of clothing that I found on sale, I will spend a little bit more on jewelry and accessories because I know that I will get a ton of wear out of them. Accessories can be worn during all seasons and last a bit longer than some trendy pieces of clothing. Even if I'm just wearing something very basic, I will still throw on a scarf or a necklace to add a little pop. Accessories can change and really dress up an otherwise boring look.
The other day I had on a very basic outfit:
jeans
tank
cardigan
boots
You could probably call my basic outfit my "momiform" because I wear those items all. the. time.
But I made sure to add some accessories to help dress the outfit up and make it look different from every other momiform.
There are a couple things that I regularly add to dress up an outfit:
necklace
bracelet
hair
Necklaces are my absolute favorite type of accessory because there are so many different styles. It is so fun to pair different necklaces with the same outfit to get a different look. I'm a huge fan of Stella & Dot because they have so many things to offer.
Bracelets are another fun way to dress up an outfit. I love basic, classic pieces and I'm totally in love with this two tone bangle that I was given as a gift from The Vanilla Tulip.
And finally, if I'm feeling a little sassy and want to dress up an outfit, I will curl my hair or style it a different way. I spent the majority of my life with super straight hair that I wore that way everyday and I'm so happy that because of blogs I've learned to style my hair in fun ways. I used this tutorial here to style my hair.
Just by adding these few things to my outfit takes it to another level and makes me feel like a million bucks!

Wore: Rainhat
Bad hair days.
Sadly, I've had my share of them and the majority of them occur when there is precipitation outside. Rain plus fine, thin, straight hair just do not mix. There have been many times that I have styled my hair only to walk outside and see rain and realize that I completely wasted my time. And wasting my time is one of my favorite things to do...said no person ever.
Which is why I am thrilled to have discovered this fabulous Scala Collezione rainhat from Dorfman Pacific.
This rainhat is super lightweight, yet extremely durable and repels rain like a boss (as Tolar would say). I love that the hat is somewhat oversized so I don't have to worry about smashing my hair if I've curled and styled it. With the wide brim, I can rest easy knowing that the rest of my hair is seeking shelter even if it isn't completely covered. The best part? I can still look stylish and prevent a bad hair day on a super, nasty rainy day. Basically fashion and function have been rolled into one with the creation of this hat. The quality is on point, the style is classic and the charcoal color makes it easy for me to pair this hat with virtually my entire wardrobe. I can't say enough good things about this fabulous hat! And take a peek at the inside lining (picture below) - I swoon over polka dots!

I had a ton of fun with this hat and my camera:
Hat: Scala Collezione by Dorfman Pacific (c/o).
Scarf: Subtle Luxury (c/o).
Earrings: Target.
Lipstick Shade: Revlon's Smoky Rose.

My Picks for Spring Accessories
Even though the East Coast just got another snow storm, I am concentrating on Spring. Of course with the warmer temps come cute accessories: fun shoes, purses and jewelry. I love when stores get in their new inventory for Spring. The colors, the light fabrics, everything! It just makes me smile.
I have picked out some of my favorite accessories that I hope to wear this Spring. I love the bright colors and patterns included in a lot of these items. Bright colors definitely make me happy when this snow that just won't stop tries to do so otherwise.
What items are you planning to add to your wardrobe for Spring? Anything you have your eye on?
1.) Striped Flats: LOFT.
2.) Bracelet: Stella & Dot.
3.) Sunglasses: Fossil.
4.) Stappy Sandals: LOFT.
5.) Bag: Asos.com (on sale!).
6.) Earrings: Stella & Dot.
7.) Wallet/Clutch: LOFT.

Jewelry Options for Valentine's Day
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I'm making sure I am ready to celebrate. I already gave you my post on my beauty essentials for Valentine's Day and today I'm sharing some thoughts on jewelry.
Special occasions call for special jewelry right? Well I have found an amazing fine jewelry site called Anjolee.com where you can customize the jewelry to fit your specific style and preference. You get to pick the type of metal, diamond size, diamond/gemstone quality and length/size. Ladies, you will probably want to share this site with that important man in your life. Let's be honest, we just need to make it easy on them.
They have such beautiful jewelry that would complement any Valentine's Day outfit or make the absolute perfect gift. I love a very classic look when it comes to fine jewelry, nothing too gaudy (I'm not a Real Housewife) so Anjolee is the perfect place for me to make sure I get exactly what I want. I love that their jewelry is completely customizable, I mean seriously check out this Birthstone Bracelet to see!
Below are some of my favorite pieces, I'm dreaming of them right now. I would style all of these pieces with a cute black dress, some red lipstick and red nails. Here is one of my favorite black dresses that these pieces of jewelry would look great with.
I'm getting ready to Frost Myself! Name that movie...and go!
These are so simple and elegant, a very classic choice. I have a princess cut diamond on my engagement ring so naturally I chose the same cut here. These earrings aren't too big to become flashy and could work with multiple pieces I already have in my accessory collection.
This is a dream bracelet all the way. I love how each piece looks like a cushion cut diamond, so beautiful.
Gorgeous, that's all I can say about this pendant. I love that this necklace is so classic that I could wear this to work or pair it with a special outfit for a celebration.
Do you have any favorite pieces of fine jewelry? Any dream purchases you hope to make in the future? Tell me about them below.
