Bought Beautifully + Giveaway
If you have been around this blog for any length of time you know that I am a Christian and hold my relationship with Christ very close. I also am a HUGE accessory lover. So you better believe that I was thrilled to be able to combine my love of both.
Allow me to introduce you to an incredible company called Bought Beautifully. This is an online store where you can purchase products from vendors all over the world who are creating products that create opportunity for others. The site was started as a way for us all to use our finances as a way to further God's kingdom - by supporting quality products that are created in an atmosphere of love.
I have to tell you there are way too many items in my house that I purchased because I got a good deal on them or because I just liked them. I don't know the history behind them and I have no clue what kind of conditions the workers deal with as they make everything. But when I stop to think about the type of conditions that could exist, it really makes me sad. So I love that Bought Beautifully was designed to build and support a Christ Centered Economy, where people receive fair wages and work in conditions that enable them to develop their artistic spirit, individuality, and creativity.
There is so much more available than just accessories; Bought Beautifully also offers art, home decor, clothing and beauty products. Here are just a few products that are available on Bought Beautifully that I wanted to share with you.
Peruvian Messenger Bag/Ipad Case from Threads of Hope
The bag is gorgeous! I love the bright colors and attention to detail that went into crafting this item. There is an inside pocket and a back zipper pocket, plus a long strap making this a great purse or ipad case. I catch myself just staring at the bag because the colors are so beautiful. And I love that Threads of Hope has a tagline that says "empowering impoverished women, transforming lives." They offer fair and consistent income to their artisans and use 100% of their profits to break the cycle of poverty through grants available to their artisans.
Single Wrap Majok Bracelet from Haiti's Jewels
Such a simple yet beautiful bracelet with turquoise accents and grey Majok seeds. The products from Haiti's Jewels are made with materials straight from Haiti reflecting the beauty and strength inherent to Haiti. Each purchase of a Haiti's Jewels product goes to further a culture of sustainable, social entrepreneurship.
Rose Embroidered Card from HAPI
What a unique and beautiful card to send to someone special! These cards are embroidered by Haitian women through an organization called HAPI, which seeks to encourage creativity, promote gender equality, create economic opportunity and grow healthy communities. The cards are gorgeous and so unique, unlike anything you could find in the card aisle at your local drug store.
The thing I love most about all of the products featured on Bought Beautifully is that with your purchase you are supporting impoverished artisans. Knowing that your money is going to a good and worthy cause is a beautiful thing. These organizations exist to teach responsibility and to offer opportunity, all while spreading the love of Jesus.
I encourage you to check out Bought Beautifully and all of the available items. There are so many to choose from!
And I have a surprise for you. The founders of Bought Beautifully are offering up all three items detailed above to one lucky Pursuit of Pink reader! All you have to do is enter using the rafflecopter below, which just involves following Bought Beautifully on instagram and facebook and tweeting a link. Each follow or tweet is an additional entry! Let me know if you have questions. These items are so beautiful, I'm already jealous of the winner!!!

Beautiful Ornament Storage, plus a giveaway
(I was sent a complimentary box for review purposes, however all opinions expressed are my own.)
Since Tolar and I got married, we have been collecting ornaments. The ornaments either remind us of a special event/place we visited or just happen to be a cute decoration that we really like. No matter what, they were bought to represent our family through the years. As our ornament collection has grown, I've been on the hunt for the perfect storage option to keep them safe, in one piece and protected through the years. Currently I just use a cardboard box with everything wrapped in tissue paper, clearly I need something of better quality.
I found these amazing (and might I add extremely beautiful) boxes from Ultimate Christmas Storage that offer the perfect protection for all of my family's precious ornaments. Besides being one of the prettiest boxes I have ever seen, my Ultimate Christmas Storage box (and all of their boxes) offers archival, aka acid-free storage, designed specifically for Christmas ornaments. My box has removable trays and customizable cubbies so I can store all of my ornaments in one box, regardless of their shape and size. I also received archival shredded paper with my box to help keep those fragile ornaments from breaking.
I have never seen a box so beautiful, I'm not even kidding. The box I received is the Ultimate European Glass Archival Chest and it is extremely well made and covered in gorgeous fabric. The trays are stackable and very sturdy, so I don't have to worry about my ornaments getting smashed by the tray on top. There is a lot of room and plenty of storage space for me to keep all of our ornaments together and neatly packed. I love good organization and the Ultimate Christmas Storage is quite possibly the best type of storage box I have ever used. I am absolutely thrilled with the box I have. I want to keep the box out all year because it is so beautiful. And they have other fabric options to choose from, in addition to the gorgeous red that I have.
This is the perfect gift for your mom or mother in law, or even for newlyweds. I am sure that you will be tickled pink and so proud to give this box for a gift because it will preserve great memories for years to come. I just can't say enough great things about this beautiful box - except that you can enter to win one of your very own!
That's right, use the rafflecopter below and enter to win the Ultimate Ornament Box from Ultimate Christmas Storage. The Ultimate Ornament Box is their best selling item, so be sure to enter to hopefully score one for yourself. Don't miss this giveaway!
Merry Christmas!

New Favorite Shop - Mint Julep Boutique
It has been awhile since I have done a "What I Wore" post and I am so excited to be back in the swing of things. Thanks to my new favorite shop, The Mint Julep Boutique, I have a gorgeous new maxi dress to show off.
Maxi dresses are a staple in my closet and one of my favorite things to wear for many reasons. I love that they are super comfortable and they make me feel so pretty and put together. Another reason I love them so much is that they are pretty versatile, you can wear them all summer long and then transition them into fall by adding a cardigan or a jacket.
As soon as I saw the Marble Slab Maxi on Mint Julep's website, I knew I had to have it! I tend to wear a lot of neutral colors (primarily black) and was looking for something to get me out of my comfort zone a little bit. The pattern on the dress is so neat and doesn't draw your attention to one area or another and I absolutely adore the bright colors. I love bright colors in everything else, so why not wear bright colors to express my mood as well?
If you are in the market for some new clothes, I highly suggest you check out The Mint Julep Boutique. They have so many pretty clothes, accessories, shoes and even game day clothing options. And the quality and construction of the clothes are top notch; you will definitely be getting a terrific garment. It was so hard for me to select just one maxi dress because I fell in love with so many. I definitely have some more online shopping to do!

I Might Be A Legit Blogger
What started out as just a little idea, has turned into a wonderful passion of mine over the past two years. You guys, I cannot believe it, but I have been blogging for two years!!! Two whole years!!! I feel like that means I'm a legit blogger by now, right?
I have been through a lot since starting this blog: full time job, pregnancy, first time mom, becoming a Rodan + Fields consultant, moving out of our first house as a married couple and now life in small town Virginia. Through it all, I have loved logging on everyday and sharing what is on my mind with you. You have all been incredible and so unbelievably supportive of everything I write. I am so appreciative of the community that Pursuit of Pink has brought me. Even though I have never met the majority of you in person, I still feel like I have made such strong friendships and connections through my place on the internet.
Every comment, every tweet, every encouraging word that you have shared with me over any social media outlet has touched me. I have been blessed over and over by the awesome people who read this - that would be YOU! Thank you for the prayers that have been sent up for me over the past two years and thank you to those of you who have trusted me with situations in your life and allowed me to pray for you. After these first incredible two years in the blogging world, I look forward to what the future holds. I have no doubt that it is going to be amazing!!!
So thank you for showing up and following along with me. Thank you for sticking by me when my family was going through a major transition and I took an unintentional step back from my daily posts. Thank you for making me laugh and making me smile. I'm so grateful for you all.
To celebrate my two year blog birthday and to say thank you, I'm going to do a little giveaway. Because this blog introduced me to Rodan + Fields, which has been life changing in such a positive way for my family, I want to offer up a little gift to one of you. I'm going to be giving away one of my ABSOLUTE favorite products from Rodan + Fields - our Body Microdermabrasion. This little magic in a tube has given my entire body the smoothest skin I have ever had. The Body Microdermabrasion feels like an indulgence, but works as a therapeutic, multi-benefit skin treatment. For use in the shower or tub, this powerful microdermabrasion exfoliates, cleanses and conditions skin in one invigorating step for all-over renewal and a smooth, even look and feel. Harper's Bazaar proclaims it will banish dry and flaky skin. Y'all this stuff is fabulous and I'm so excited for one lucky winner to receive it. (PS - I seriously get a closer shave on my legs after using this stuff)
To enter, do one of the following:
1.) Comment below telling me your biggest skin concern and leave a way that I can get in contact with you (e-mail address or twitter handle)
or
2.) Send me an e-mail at lindsay@pursuitofpink.com with your biggest skin concern.
And again, I have to say a BIG THANK YOU for sticking by me these past two years. I cannot believe how awesome this thing called blogging is.
So my true blog birthday was August 20, which snuck up on me and I didn't even realize it until the day was almost over. Does that make me a bad blogger? :) But I didn't want the special date to go by without acknowledging the milestone.

First Birthday Thanks plus a giveaway
Baby K's first birthday was Lady Bug themed, based off of a nickname that we gave her when I first found out I was pregnant with a girl. My maiden name is Mady which is often pronounced incorrectly, so to get people to pronounce it correctly I always said that Mady sounded like Lady but with an M. I had some friends start calling me Lady Mady shortly thereafter and the nickname stuck (sidenote: I mourned the loss of Lady Mady when I got married). Once we found out that I was pregnant with Baby K, we started calling her our Little Lady Mady Bug and fell in love with anything Lady Bug for her. So her first birthday theme was decided long before we even planned her party.
While planning her party, I wanted to be certain and keep the Lady Bug theme all through out. We included a lady bug on the evite, had lots of lady bug and lady bug inspired decor at the party and my sister even found a precious little lady bug dress for her to wear. But I didn't want the theme to stop there - I also wanted her thank you cards to include the theme. So what's a Mom to do? Check out Minted and all of the fantastic thank you cards designed for kids.
Let me tell you, Minted has some amazing items for those who love paper products and photos! From wedding products, to party invitations, to Christmas cards, to birth announcements, to art prints, Minted has you covered. So that's why I didn't look anywhere else but Minted to locate the perfect thank you cards for Baby K's first birthday.
I started by looking through all of the children's thank you cards just to see what was available and there were so many designs that I loved, it was actually kind of hard to choose. But it was love at first sight, when I located the "Love At First Bite" Children's Birthday party thank you cards.
I like pretty clean and classic designs and it is no secret that I'm a huge fan of polka dots. So when I laid my eyes on this design, I knew I had to order the thank you cards. And let me tell you, they do not disappoint in person; the coloring looks exactly the same in person as it does on my computer screen. It always irritates me when I order something thinking it is going to be one color because of the way it looks online only to have it delivered and realize it looks completely different in person. I'm so thankful that Minted delivered to the fullest potential.
Another great reason to check out Minted and their great selection of products is for the quality. They print their products on thick card stock instead of cheap thin paper. You don't have to worry about your pen ink bleeding through or accidentally ripping the card because the paper is so thin. Minted has great products, I've never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. I will keep going back for more anytime I need an invitation, thank you card or announcement. And you can customize the products to fit your family. I added Baby K's name to these thank you cards, aren't they just adorable???
And to help you fall in love with their products, the generous folks at Minted are giving one lucky Pursuit of Pink reader a $100 credit! That is such an amazing prize, just think of all of the amazing products that you can get with $100. Thanks Minted - that is seriously one sweet gift! All you have to do to enter is click this link to hop over to Minted's website and enter the Giveaway - so easy!!! Best of luck!!!
